Dr. BOB, I agree with you. I originally set out to do a sympathetic refresh and retain patina on this 79. Not sure if I like this change in direction or not since I am now required to make the rest of the car live up to the standards I am setting under the hood.
Parts cars are a must. Took four cars to make what you see. Drooman turned me on to a hardware company called Belmetric. They supplied in bulk some new fasteners to round it all out. Doing a restoration in stages is far from ideal. It's the goofy way I work
