hey erik, what settings are you using on your 's' model? should the later s2 use the same settings as the s4 (same suspension)?

Nick,
Yes that's the same expect the caster is 30' higher on the S4 and forwards models
See the shop manual, and how to do, in the new 928 Forum #4

Nick,

You can find answers to most of your questions on my web site. Number 10 of the DIY alignment section explains the tool and how to modify it to work better.

you know, its not actualy difficult to aligne the 928 properly when all the ajusters are working and new bushes hold things in place. what is more difficult is finding a shop who will take the time required to do it carefully and acurately. the best job ive had done so far was from a porsche dealer, chapelgate motors in dorsett - very nice job. due to a shed load of subsequent work and all at varying times ive had many other aproximations to an alignement including recent efforts in the last two days - its just not worth the agravation going to a shop that dosent know how. these cars really are capable of sublime driving dynamics when well set up.
