Werks Reunion
Just curious to see if anyone from here is going to the Werks Reunion this year. 928s are one of the 'feature' cars.
If anyone is driving up from the LA area I'd be in for a caravan.

Not sure how many are going from NorCal but my guess there will be about a dozen 928's including myself. There is still time I think to get a corral pass. You should check into it if not you will be stuck out on the street somewhere and we need you on the grass.
Get there early!

Priorities, dude!!
The website for Werks is here: http://www.werksreunion.com/
Click on "Registration", that takes you to the info page and a link to online registration. There are currently 21 928s registered (out of 584 total), six of those in Concours and 15 in Corral. (A link to the entry list is on the online reg page).
Deadline for registration is Aug 10, plenty of time left...
There is also some chatter about Werks starting in the middle of this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...l#post13254522
We'll be there with our GT.

We're hearing here that the fire may be weeks away from containment, any word from organizers about possible impact on the week? We are about 60 miles northeast and are dealing with quite a bit of ash when cars are left outside.

For those looking for a place to stay, prepare to spend alot (300+) to stay anywhere in the Monterey area. if you move out of town, Salinas is the usual alternative, but prices go up there too and you have to deal with hwy 68 traffic.
Last year and this year I am staying in Prunedale, about 20-30 north of Monterey, at the KOA campground, for about $100 a night. I work the car auctions each night and I dont want to drive home that late for 1/5 hours, so its better to stay there.

And I just got an email tonight asking for Fosters for dogs, cats, birds and reptiles as Monterey County SPCA is overwhelmed with displaced pets of evacuees. We will probably volunteer to take two or three dogs and if they are still with us I'll probably have to skip Werks.
