Well, I was planning on ordering the parts to do my tbelt water pump a few weeks ago, but with the Cubs making a run for the world series I had to spend over a thousand on tickets to the playoff games in Florida and Chicago. Anyways, after some heartbreak I’m thinking of getting some estimates for the Tbelt and H2O pump job on my ’89 928 S4 auto. How much have you all spent? I got one estimate for $1,600 from one shop and now I’m wondering about Fischer Motors in Barrington, IL. I still may do it on my own, but I just wanted to know about estimates and experiences for now. Thanks.

Just got an estimate from Fischer for $1,275. Damn that's up there. Looks like I'm going to have to call the big 3 after all.

Nope, no snow here. Would you believe it, it touched 80's yesterday! Today is a little colder, and well it'll continue like that untill it's below zero. I figured the Porsche could wait since I've been waiting all 24 years of my life for this to happen. And to think I could've had all the work done and 18's if I had just done like everyone else and watched it on the tele. Anyways, no more slacking off on this thing. I got to get this job done!

I once called Fischer when I lived in Rolling Ghettos and they pretty much said that they didn't have time for my 924S.

I think they can go screw themselves. Most of the shops in Chicagoland are like that. As a matter of fact, so are most of the people.

Born and raised in the concrete suburbs of Chicagoland.

You give me a family that moves to that god-forsaken place and in one generation, I can show you a$$holes.

Yes, it sounds harsh. I got out before I had a son.
