Looking at my relay panel I see I have a kickdown bridge at relay IX. According to the diagrams I've seen it shows as 'not used' in '82 but this appears for the '83 model year.
Any opinions about why I have it? I'm guessing it is doing no harm but that's why I'm asking...

starter bridge. thats where the relay is that won't let you start the car in gear for an automatic.
