Default SS braided PS line custom made
Well folks with all the fuss over HP PS line failures and possible fires, I am quite concerned over my 85 S3 becoming a bonfire. I am thinking of having a custom Steel braided hose made up at a local hose shop , Has anyone done this? I live in NASCAR land and they can make anything..

Just use an OEM replacement...

SS lines, are pretty, but they will saw thru anything they touch.

OEM lasted 30yrs..thats longer than anything in nascar has lasted.

if you are really worried, cover a new OEM line with some fiberbraid heat shielding.
