Default Bad Loom in the Red car

My wonderful 86.5 is dead in the water. Since the rebuild everything ran perfect until a few days ago. A miss...GB and I diagnosed that it's a crack in the injector loom.
It's a used loom of course and you can only bend a coat hanger so many times before it breaks. We don't know of any new looms with fresh wire and connectors that are of the quality the we all expect. It would be great if Porsche had them in inventory.

Sean makes new harnesses, maybe he has this one too. Roger sells them.

Nobody has made new injector harnesses yet. Kroon wiring is willing to make new harnesses as long as you send them your old one to copy if they haven't made it before.

They give large discounts to people that send them harnesses they have never built before too.

I'm all for supporting our local vendors but they have yet to put an injector harness on the market that I know of. That may soon change with how crispy they are all getting.

Ugh Van, that's a rough one after just getting it back.

I'd probably try to find a decent used replacement while trying to figure out how to get a proper fresh harness built. I think I saw at least a couple on eBay a while back though decent might be overstating their condition.

We have been selling injector harnesses for a couple of years now.
Shipped a lot of them. Made by Sean @ 928Docs

I can get a new one thru Roger...
We replaced most every bit except for the injector harness. When I raced sports cars the number one rule was to replace everything around whatever you are replacing for the new bits but more strain on the old stuff. Here we used an old harness, which at the time was a conscious decision, however we did replace the 14pin loom that Greg built and it's a piece of art, but not the injector harness. And here we are.
Just hoping to get it done in time for Monterey and I have a trip to China on Tuesday, but only gone for 8 days.

We need the core for the attachment to the brain.

Sean at 928Docs has been making harnesses for at least two years. Sold a lot of them.
The most popular is the front of engine harness.
Injection harness comes second but the demand is not the same as the front of engine harness.
He also makes fan harnesses for the 87+ cars. They have a habit of getting fubared when the belts break.
Price is dependent on MY,delivery country and LHD v RHD (injection harness).
