I had a great time! It was good catching up and seeing everyone again. Thanks again for the good time! Hopefully I will have Big Red or Cassirot done by then and I can actually drive there in a 928. See you guys next year!
Yes, thank you to the vendors, sponsors and all of those that helped organize the event...and especially Mark and his wife for opening up their beautiful cottage located on the lake!
Shirts...
Personally, white fabric and mustard don't go together well...that's why I stayed in the black shirt.
Again, I won something cool from Rob Budd during the raffle (thanks to my wife). Cool rubber floor mats last year and cool sign this year! Couldn't get a good picture of the sign lit up...but it looks very, very cool when lit.
Big Thanks to are gracious hosts Mark and his wife, and to everyone who helped coordinate this Awesome event!...As well as all the vendors for raffle prizes (special Thanks to Rob Bud for the pizza)
As Always It was Great hanging with the Usual suspects and meeting a few new Renn members, including Cosmo Kramer
Another one on the books...Already looking forward to next year.
Yep! Great event as always. Weather was perfect. Late night Booze Cruises were fun as well. My daughter and her friend Melanie had a blast.
BIG Thanks to Mark and Karen Haddlesey for hosting again at their cottage in Hell.
Also thanks to 928 OC for sponsoring the shirts.
Thanks to Roger at 928s-R-Us, Mark at 928 International, Dave and Jeannie at 928 Specialists, Chris Braden at Munks Motors, and Rob Budd from the leather shop for all their support and generosity for the door prizes this an previous years. It really helps to make this an outstanding event.
Also a HUGE thanks to Haley Neal for the design this year. She is so talented!
Finally, thanks to Andy from Inland Press for the posters.
It was great meeting everyone, Thanks for the warm welcome even though I did not have a p-car to bring....and accidentally parked right by the raffle tent, oops!
You guys are all a class act.
The cars were awesome and the people were better! We had lots of fun on the twisty roads to and from the event. (at posted speeds , of course)
Well it would have been great to attend and see everyone again but me and my tamales couldnt make it this year. I was in such a frenzy (not related to the next shark event) to get my car ready for the roadtrip that i thought it was next weekend. I thought MJ was punking me when he told me. Sadly i found out too late in the day with my door panels taken apart. Sorry for missing everyone. Please post more pics.
Looks like good times! Kudos to the organizers for another great show. Speaking on behalf of the OC, we're pleased to have been able to support your fine event.
Just wanted to say thank you to all that attended Sharks In Hell 11 this year.
Next year, Aug 5th 2017, put it on your calendar now.
Special thank you to those that help make this event possible every year, Dave K / Andrew O, and our great sponsors that contributed door prizes (928 Specialists, 928s-R-Us, our locals Classic 9 Leather Shop and Munk’s Motors), and to Robert Budd for the evening pizza. The t-shirts were great this year, thank you Haley for the design and 928 Owners Club helping fund the shirts, and Andy for the posters.
To my overnight guests, thank you for helping cleanup this morning, especially to Vincent who stayed until 1:30pm to help until I was done.
My unofficial count around lunch time was twenty 928’s, but with early departures and late arrivals throughout the day, maybe 25-26? We had a 5-6 other P cars show up, along with a couple bikes, one Ferrari, Vincent in his Austin Healey, and my wife in her Jag XK8 (Carbon Fiber Edition).
Below are some shots that I took (some with a real camera, some with my cellphone).
BTW, if anyone needs parts from the parts car please let me know and we can work something out.
This was my first time attending and all I can say is... Wow! What an awesome event! Such a warm, welcoming group of people. My sons and I really enjoyed meeting you and seeing first hand some of the most maticulously kept 928's in the country. I'd like to thank Mark and everyone involved with putting on the event. I'd like to send a special thank you to Andrew and DaveK. I've never met another human being with a bigger heart than these two guys. My only regret is that I live three hours away and I can't spend more time simply hanging out with you guys. Please count me in as a regular for next years event. I'm already contemplating bringing my propane fryer next year and frying up some of the best tasting, southern fried blue gill, lake perch, tilapia and catfish.
Here's a highlights video I made from the event. My skill level at this is amateur at best, but I do have fun playing around with Final Cut. Sorry if I missed filming your 928 I didn't break out the camera until later in the day.
