Default Car is fixed, rebuilt tranny installed. Thanks to so many.

Hey guys, since I bought my car, last August, I have never had it plated,or working, so, today was my 1st drive. My original tranny was trashed, found a used for $1200, my transmission specialist, took it apart, fixed what needed to be fixed, and put it in. Picked up the car on Friday, but had an idling problem(it was surging)1200 rpms down to 400 rpm's. Found the isv disconnected, installed the cable, but it still did not work. Disconnected the battery for two mins, and BAM, it works perfect. Thanks to all for the help, Greg, Bill, Luc, Dwayne, The Deputy, everyone, This forum is great. So nice to finally drive this car.
Cheers
Don

Nice to see that your car is back on the road.

They're real nice car to drive.

Also good to see that the doc finally let you drive it.
I guess your health problems are behind you.

Don, where abouts do you live? Do you recommend your transmission shop?

Most definitely. The gent specializes in Mercedes trannys. He pulled mine out, took it apart, showed me how bad it was, discs, plastic pieces melted. He could not find some replacement parts, and Luc found me a used unit in St Bruno. He picked it up,opened it up,switched over the cables, fine tuned it, and put it back in for $3000.
Ste. Agathe Transmission, Marc Pelletier is the owner. My mechanic friend where I live sends all his work to him.
Where do you live Pate ?

Happy to hear you are enjoying some fine motoring in your 928, Don.

Looking forward to seeing some photos of her in some new locations.

Also, don't know/remember what I did to get mentioned...but thank you for the consideration.

Brian.
