Default 8" H5s, what are they worth?

I recently purchased a new set of 8" H4s and have installed the Woody Peck Cree LED bulbs. Haven't had a chance to aim them or drive at night but plan to do so shortly. Steve's service was fantastic and I highly recommend him.

So I now have 8" H5s that I need to get rid of. What are they worth?

IIRC I got about $300 for the set I sold on Ebay.

Sounds about right. I'm listing mine for $300 shipped, and one has a rock chip that looks like a BB impact (no cracking or anything, just a pin hole).

I think $300 for a good pair is reasonable, given prices for new from Porsche and new/used from 928 Int'l and elsewhere.

However if one of the lenses has a pinhole (e.g. a "crater" of missing glass on the inside from a rock impact, with a thru hole however small) then that devalues it to about nothing, in my estimation. Even a small pinhole would allow water in, which will lead to corrosion of the reflector.

The market for H5's is replacement for broken units, so selling the good one as a single is fine-- folks with one broken headlight won't be looking for two. Then offer the chipped one cheap for parts/as-is.

Just my two cents.
