Default What will make bug removing easier

Taking a long road trip in sweltering heat this weekend. I know I will get plastered with bugs so my question here. Is there anything you have sprayed on the WHOLE front of car that requires only high pressure spraying to remove?
Thank you
Thomas

No personal history with this, but I read somewhere to spray WD-40 on the leading edges of the car to keep bug remains from sticking.

I have no idea if this is a good idea or not and I do not know if WD-40 will hurt the paint, but I suspect that it won't hurt anything.

I hear baby oil works well. WD 40 and Pam cooking spray come up often also. I am not spraying anything until we run it through Rennlist though.

I agree. Get some more input.

FAA keeps trying to find the perfect solution..but being there as SO many "things" and goopy "substances" between scales, blood, "fluid"..and eggs...nothing has been perfect.

This is for removing after the splat. Do you apply this before the splat to make removal easier?

I just carry a spray bottle of Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover, a little bug remover mitten that fits over my fingers and a rag on warm weather road trips. The bugs come off fast at the end of the day.

RejeX Wax and this on top. Then, when washing, dwell time is the key with warm soapy water in a spray bottle. Bugs are mostly protein and carbohydrates, so, very water soluble.

"Routine use of Wing Clean™, in series with PPC's Perfect Detail™ and/or Prestige Protective Polish, produces a microcellular separation barrier on leading edge surfaces, making future bug removal a progressively easier task."

We pick up bugs at 200mph...

Holy crap, I just looked at the forecast... Yikes! How's the aircon doing?
When are you heading off?

As for bugs, fresh wax then soap and water or soak with Griot's spray-wash stuff if we're on the road. I am sure there is something better.

I'm leaning towards the baby oil. Spray on a coat and slip slide them away.

Ugh. I would try to avoid that. Can you leave at another time?
What has worked for me is to have a good wax to start with, then try to wash them off right when you arrive or early the next morning with dew on the car.

I have had pretty good luck with this .
Amazon.com: Nanoskin (NA-NSE16) Nano Shock Instant Lubricant Sealant - 16 oz.: Automotive Amazon.com: Nanoskin (NA-NSE16) Nano Shock Instant Lubricant Sealant - 16 oz.: Automotive

Look around and there are what they call ceramic coatings that are like wax but more microscopic in size and bugs etc kinda just rinse off because the surface is so smooth.
