Nice. It will be great to see the underbody work done. Man, those tires are bald. Does the car run?

The car looks like a serious candidate for a steam-cleaning effort at this point. Maybe more beneficial after the driveline and suspension are dropped from the body.

Rich Andrade shared some pics a while back of a project car that included serious commercial-grade steam cleaning all the rear driveline and suspension bits on the ground, out of the car. Pieces looked like new after all the gunk and old cosmoline were steamed off. Sean (RL: Speedtoys) shared some pics of a steam-clean effort on the underside of a recent purchase, also very impressive.

I've been looking at the underside of my car more seriously after reading reading the Flussig feature on undercarriage cleaning chems. The five-minute read does not relate at all to the many hours needed to sanitize the bottom of the tub, even with the "ideal" chems. It may have to make do with a de-crudding bath and no extra effort to de-cosmoline. Or I need to find a local place that will do some steam-cleaning for me.

Not planning on powerwashing the underside while on the lift, don't want to get everything else wet around the car and lift. I'll put the Body on a Dolly, clean it up that way, and the drivetrain will be coming all apart, Torque Tube, and rear end unit, valve covers and Intake will be Plastic Media Blasted (PMB), rear end sent to my friend who only does rear ends, Engine, well, I'm preparing for the worst, hoping for the best.
