What goes here?
Hi,
This isn't my car (I wish it was this clean), this one has a blanking panel covering a hole into the flywheel. Mine is just an open hole with not plate, I presume it should be blanked off rather than hoovering up crap off the road, but why is the hole there? Is it where the speedo pickup used to be?
Thanks,
Gary

Flywheel inspection plate. When removed you can insert the flywheel locking tool to lock the flywheel in place so you can remove the timing belt. Jump about 1/2 way down this page and you can see it in action: http://www.dwaynesgarage.norcal928.o...0Procedure.htm You can buy a used plate from 928 International cheap.
