Default Houston GTG - May 21 - PCA Meet, Drive, Lunch, Drive, and Brewery Stop

Saturday May 21, the Houston crowd will be meeting up in Cypress and driving to our usual lunch stop in Montgomery, followed by a very scenic drive through the national forest north of Lake Conroe and ending at the B-52 Brewery near Conroe.

Please PM me if you think you will be attending have not already emailed me.

We've got a lot of new and enthusiastic members of the Houston Google Group, so this should be a fun.

Here's the rough schedule:

9:00 - Meet at the 3rd Sat PCA gathering in Cypress between StarBucks(25615 US-290, Cypress, TX 77429) and Best Buy, on the 290 feeder road between Skinner and Barker Cypress.

10:00 – 11:30 - Drive to my place about 4 miles away. Put cars on the lift, and general tech talk.

11:30 – 12:15 – Drive to Montgomery

12:15 – 1:15 – Lunch - Old Montgomery Steak House

1:15 – 2:15 – Drive around north side of Lake Conroe, then back south to the brewery

2:15 - B-52 Brewery of 105 just west of Conroe.

Don: if this is the "lose" schedule, do you have a "win" schedule?

Don,
I'll be there but will be there later at lunch or end of lunch.

I have my car up in the air now, as I am checking the flex plate and trying to get my catalytic converter re-connected to the exhaust manifold. The brackets holding the connections are a PITA to get off so I can adjust the connections to get the bolts back in. At any rate, if i get everything buttoned up and the new exhaust fasteners and gaskets installed I'll bring the 928 instead of the F150.

Michael,

Just join us running exhaust manifolds only, should turn some heads and scare other cars our of our way!

Give me a call if you need some help. Shouldn't be too hard getting cat to manifold back together with the right socket extensions. Also, consider only replacing 4 of the 6 bolts to make it easier to check the flex plate next time.
