lagoon green 93 GTS 5 speed, no affiliation.

Cute. I'm wondering if Craiglist is the new best place to sell a $100k collector car. Also, the originator of the ad, also needs additional schooling on using additional superfluous words like also and, additionally, the word and.

If you're old enough, close your eyes and think of 1979. The pinstripes work.

Agree Dave. This rare colored 5spd GTS deserves better. Get her over to one of the Amelia Island auctions early spring or maybe Mecum Monterey in Aug ? If you don't want to wait or leave your seat post her on BAT (with high reserve) then maybe eBay US & Germany. Cool color-literally. Nice find Bob. T

I looked at this car and had a PPI done on it and it was a mess ~15 years ago... Don't remember the exact details (might be in the 928 registry) but, it had a horrible repaint. Definitely NOT a $100k GTS in spite of its very rare color.

Agree again. It's like buying a Rolex at Wal-Mart.

OK, I'll bite. My '78 has a naked post. What does the proper cover look like? I have tried PET with no luck.

Rob Edwards 10-02-2016 02:13 PM

All '78 posts are naked.

Jim Chambers 10-02-2016 02:28 PM

Darn, I was hoping to increase my car's value by $780!

(Lagoon green GTS) - Agreed. Can't hurt tho and it's free so he's gettin some pub and guys looking for these cars (like me...) always check CL.

THANKS Tony. I've always wondered where this car ended up and if the seller shared with this owner what I found in the PPI I had done. Two things I remember was there were runs in the paint especially at the bottom of the rockers and rear bumper cover. Also, the strut bar was bent. Those things don't just bend without taking a fairly hard hit... Certainly a beautiful GTS and at this point they will start to turn up restored and as time goes on it will matter less.

Has to go.....this is it...first 11.5k takes it....thanks all.

This '88 S4 looks like a crazy good deal. Everything is awesome until you read that ONE LINE in the description...

Hard to tell from the pictures. But in order to justify top Dollar, it could use the new classic grey center console that Roger has in stock.

Nice, but at $33k, I would rather purchase that Nocha Brown-cork combo. Easier to tolerate the pinstripes than the green machine.
