My first Porsche was a kiln red 1984 928, that I bought in 1992, for $16,000.
At the time, paying for it and indoor parking cost about 40% of what I earned every month.
Worth. Every. Dime.
It had slightly muted pumpkin leather interior. Magnificent car.

Would that I could fit this car into my garage: $14,900 is essentially free.
Someone snap this thing up, and give it a good home.

Too bad they don't have people's real names associated with their BAT comments.... what a bunch of knuckleheads. Where do people get this stuff?

Maybe it's just me, but if one doesn't have something constructive to say, then don't say it in public.

As a noob, I was not sure, but I saw that one and said that looks like a good deal for someone. Well I guess I'm learning.

CNBC the network has gone into full on Sharktank reruns and fix that business "reality" shows as they search for an identity .....the car show just did not fit their image so three seasons and over. However overseas it airs on History and Discovery channels in various markets and is still being shown..... But no more new episodes.
There are other options being pursued Jeff and Meggan relocated their operations to Dallas last year with a new Flat Twelve Gallery in an 11,000 sq ft building in South O. C. where they buy and sell cars. Do audio pods casts and promotions with Pennzoil..... as well as pitch new T V shows

Fixing that nickle sized paint chip on the driver's side front fender near the hood is not a cheap/easy fix. Not sure if you can repair the delaminated pillow tufts in the seats without significant effort. I love the color, but even in today's market, buying that car and addressing its issues to make it right, will get it near $20-$25k. Not a good deal for me.

And it's sold...I'm was still on the fence - great color, not thrilled about '84 performance, though. ALl paperwork and known history but shady maintenance. You are paying here pretty deep for the original paint but so hard to tell actual paint QUALITY on pics - I would need to see in person before placing long dollar...

Here are a few more "reddish" cars from the 10th Annual 3rd Coast weekend. Unfortunately
Tom from Austin left with his Rasperry GTS before pic was taken. T

Ed -

It was great speaking with you the other day about my 928.

I was honestly blown away by the attention the car received in the 48 hours it was listed.

I spoke with apx 10 potential buyers, and received dozens of emails about the car. It was actually you that made me decide to keep the car. The car did receive several solid offers, but the more I thought about it, I wanted to keep it.

One day if I'm down to eating beanies & weinies, I will sell it.

If anyone is interested, I can get my dslr out and take some high quality photos.

The paint is pretty impressive for its age. I buffed it with cleaner wax about a year ago, and did a full detail. It was actually covered in pollen in the ebay photos.

I look forward to joining this forum! Looks like a great resource.

Cheers,

Ted

Welcome to Rennlist, Ted.

Glad you got "re-excited" about your 928.

Dayum Ted - that is the best outcome for this car! I was hoping it would end up with someone here on Rennlist, and it has. Looking forward to having you in the shark tank. Read the FAQ thread at the top of the forum for tons of info. I'm not sure who else is from St. Louis on here (as I mentioned to you, I used to live in Clayton), but hopefully there are a couple as it is always good to have a few shark friend local.
And keep the pictures coming of that beautiful car.
