'83 US-spec

The original elastic straps have relaxed to a point where they no longer hold the housing together properly. I crossed the two rights and two lefts, which provides a good seal but is obviously not the optimal solution. They *will* fail.

Can I solve the problem by lacing the fastening points with 1/4" neoprene tubing? Is there another name for these parts that will help me find them for sale?

A little late, but I got mine on rock auto. They were very reasonably priced.
