Default Rear Seat Body Foam Replacement

I cut out the foam underneath the rear seats, ~1' circle worth in each, since it was rather funky smelling (hoping it was due to age versus poor hygiene )

Was searching around Amazon for a replacement, and am thinking of just going with some closed cell foam, but I don't know what thickness to get.

I would go out to my garage and measure, but I had to leave for a business trip and now won't be back home for a couple of days.

Anyone know the thickness? I'm thinking 1" would work, but would love some confirmation if anyone happens to know (and if you have any thoughts as to if something is better than closed-cell).

I'm only asking so I can place the order while I'm out and have it waiting for me when I get home.

Thanks!

Try www.classic9leathershop.com - Rob Budd may have the right material available for you.

Try Micheals. They sell upholstery foam that is nice and firm. Bring one of their mailer coupons which is usually 40 to 50% off. That foam is pricey without one...

If you can't find what you need let me know. I have a mint set of rear black leather seats, upper and lower, that no not have any water damage and don't have any odor...

Thanks Nicole & Steve.

I'm not look for the foam for the seat upper & lower, but rather the foam that's underneath them, glued to the metal on the body, e.g. what you see when you take the lower seat cushion out of the car.

It's nothing fancy, and given that there might be someone in those seats 1% of the time I'm not all that concerned about comfort (especially since the majority of the cushion will come from the lower seat). I just want to fill the cut-out foam with something that's similar in height to the original foam.

Hmm... I don't remember seeing any foam under my cushions. Maybe just some sound deadening material. Can you post a picture when you get a chance of exactly what you are dealing with?

Yep. I'm out on the road right now, but will do so when I'm back on Friday.
