Default Ex manifold gskts

Posting for a fellow owner..........can the exhaust manifold gaskets be replaced with the engine in place?

Car is a 86.5 MY........tia

I've done it. Not fun. I think I ended up using a dab of anti seize to hold it in place.

Something to hold them in place - they will fall out otherwise. Maybe some black sealant that will burnoff.

Yes they can, easy job. To get them to stay in place take the new gasket, and oblong it slightly by putting one side on the bench then compressing it with your hand. This will then create a couple points in the round hole to hold it in to place. Much easier and cleaner than using any goop.
