Default Last Electrical Connections

Guys,

After a very, very long rebuild of my motor I'm just about ready to stuff the motor back in the car. Since this is the first motor I have ever rebuilt I took a ton of pictures and tried to meticulously organize everything. The amount of information on this forum is absolutely amazing and there is no way I would have tried this without being able to go here, ask questions and look up almost anything to do with this car.

With that said, I am making sure I have every connection labeled correctly on the engine and in the engine compartment before I start to put it back in place. I have a few electrical connections I cannot find a picture for. I was wondering if someone could give me some insight. It seems most of them may just be grounds but I'm not sure.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Looks like I may make a few posts. I'm having trouble attaching more than one photo. This one is of wires by the DS coil. I have similar wires on the PS.

I believe those are for grounding to the cam tower(behind cam gears)

Thanks Joe. That would make sense. I think this is the connection you are talking about.

Similar wires on the DS but no clear connection point.

On the passenger side the ground wire from the coil bracket connects to the bolt hole in the middle of the engine lift bracket. You can sorta see the bolt hole between the two dangling plug wires below:

Thanks Rob. I do see a nut welded to the lift bracket. Is this the connection point you are talking about?

Obviously the two shorter wires shown near the front of the coil would not reach there. Still have to figure those out .

Great looking motor!

Yes, the welded (captive) nut.

Better picture of it (and tons of useful routing info) here, Dave's posts 3 thru 7:

I think this connector may connect to the AC compressor.

Yep, wait until the AC and air pump belts are on before you connect it so you can route it away from them.
