No more TAP TAP TAP!!! My car even looks better inside and out (to me anyway) without the tap tap tap of the center vent. Don't live with this...don't cut the vacuum lines to make it stop. It's not really a bad job and it is a great way to learn how the hidden stuff works (or at least where stuff lives).

Nicely done, Jon. Great to see a job come to completion with such fine results!

Definitely a fibroid tumor caused by poor electrical habits. I think she's cured!

What's next?

Thanks Ryan - looking forward to seeing your finished carpeting installation.

Curt - Well, I've been working my way through a priority list and the box of new parts I purchased with money I recovered by selling the BBS LM wheels that came with the car. So...I'm down to upper A-arm boots and a new thicker gasket for the oil filler neck, plus all the gaskets for the water bridge (including the ones you forgot to put in....which will help me remember to not forget). I have a top end refresh seal kit from 928 International (it came with the car).

Hmmm...I think it will be the A-arm boots. I will remove the shocks/springs and try to free up the adjustment collars (or have a shop do it). The potential energy in the springs freaks me out.

I have an intermittent ABS light. I think it's a connection or some corrosion. I'll go after that when I rebuild the ABS looms. My car came with the biodegradable kind...and they are well on their way. Then I'll have to start spending new money on the car (not bad for being three years into ownership).
