Condition aside, a new tank really does compliment an awesome engine bay like yours, Bertrand. The drag is, the washer fluid neck should be new too otherwise it looks like "Old Yeller."

I don't know if I would go so far as to say I recommend it, but when I did my tank ~4 years ago, I heated the tank and pulled that metal sleeve out. The intent was to keep it from rusting and turning the tank yellow. Never had any leaks and the tank looks as good as new. I'm sure people would say I'm cray and weakened the clamping area, but so far, no problems. Anyway, just something to consider.

^^ That's a good tip!

Hard to believe they used plain carbon steel for that application.

Thanks for the advice guys.

At first it wasn't my plan to change the coolant tank, neither the filler neck.

But it would be the perfect time to do so...

And it would look better than the old ones for sure.

We'll see!

I went ahead with new hoses (10x), a new tank, a new tank cap and a new washer filler neck.
Thanks Roger!

It's incredible how the coolant tank gets yellow with the years.

I'm waiting to get some parts back from platting then I'll put everything back together.

Can't wait to take it out of hibernation!

Nice.
I got caught last year when I only changed two hoses and did not replace the 3 inch 3/4 inch hose and the other 3/4 inch hose, not going to happen again. I will change them all at once next time !
Almost did not make it to Frenzy because of a 3 inch hose !!!

I remember very well Andre.

That's what made me think that mine needed attention.
