Dash pod lights are very dim - solution from eBay seller?
My dash lights have been dim for some time now and I've started looking for a solution. Replacing the rheostat did not seem to help at all. Car is a US-spec 928S, 5-litre 4-valve with automatic and about 132,000 miles.
An eBay seller offers a kit to brighten the dash lights; link below.

Any experience with this kit or seller? And are there other alternatives? In general I prefer sound maintenance and original parts as the keys to 928 happiness.
Thanks,

Hi,
I have heard of the paint method and understand it works well. The 944 folks have a method using double sided tape and aluminum foil to provide a reflective surface. One the two or three 944s I have done the results were very good. Be careful when removing the old "paint" to not scuff the plastic surface beneath ( I used lighter fluid and cotton ***** and Q-tips). GJB is correct in the details matter and takes a bit of time. Good luck.

I used this kit years ago, for some reason I remember it shipped from Brooklyn, lol.
It did make a tangible difference, but all the methodology mentioned above will do the same.
Consider new bulbs and a R/R of the cluster while you have it on the bench, it you have the time.
Cheers.

Why dont you do the work you havent done..that you should.
Clean car ground points, all of them, clean fuse holder/ce panel connections, all of them.
Pull the instrument panel, clean its connections, and the DIRT from all of the light bulbs.
Shocking difference for free...and needs done anyways.
