Default Bone head move of the week...

I pulled my intake off to start testing the turbo parts (I'll update the other thread) and discovered this. Wow. Just wow. Apparently someone didn't realize they installed the gasket backwards. I would love to meet the a$$hole that did that lol. Makes me laugh to think a few years ago I ran a 14.7 quarter in this car with just a Y-pipe, 3" exhaust, and slightly advanced distributor. Wonder how much more rich that cylinder ran. Evan

$hit happens, just because of a mistake is he really an a$$holes? It's possible the gasket slipped out during installation and then it was slid back in backwards.

I realize $hit happens, but it's still pretty amusing to me thinking how far I drove it that way and never noticed...I suppose that doesn't bode well for me either. Oh well gone now.

Only cost a few HP and you won't notice that.

I agree that you would never notice the gasket from a performance standpoint..
Probably did nto make much actual difference in that cylinder

I suppose you're probably right. I'm just OCD, but not without my mistakes. Perhaps I should have said it's amusing. I also found the wires to the cold start injector cut with orange wire nuts on them when I first got the car haha.
