Thoughts:
Is it running?
What kind of shape?
How many miles?
The early cars are gaining value. #145 is fairly early, but not exceptionally so.
But if it's a basket case, then it's not worth all that much (not like a 911 or 356 would be).
Post pics if you have any.
Those, combined with answers to the above will give you much better responses.

Must be good with 40yr old mechanical stuff too.
Well, US #54 (44th US car made) just went for $3500, with the engine partially dismantled (but said to have all the parts) and the interior partially gone.
But blown head gaskets are troubling. It could be just age, but it could also be that it sat long enough for the coolant to turn acidic and eat the heads up. Or it could have been overheated and warped the head.
Speedtoys estimate of $10k might turn out to be a bit low.
And the only ones worth real money at this point are the original ones in good shape.

And, depending on what type of car you want to own when you are done, and assuming you are doing all of the work yourself...you could top $10,000.00/$15,000.00 easily.
Just for conversation sake...my 84 was running, driver, exterior a 6 on the 10 scale, interior 7 out of 10 and I've put $3,500.00 into it in a little over a year...and it could use another $5,000.00 thrown at it easily.
Speedo metric version?
Good luck with your decision.
Brian.
