beautiful car. Wonder if the odo was broken, as mileage was "believed to be" 48K. That engine bay indicated a low miles car for sure. Were the 82 autos 3 speeds?

All auction houses use careful language when talking about mileage. "Believed to be" is pretty standard lingo.

I'm not sure I would buy at an auction without really vetting the car first. I have worked a few auctions and it seems a high percentage of people buy on a whim. Scary...

These cars are known for the odo gear breaking (you know that).

Unless there are detailed maintenance records that document the mileage, any lower mile car is going to be listed as "Believed to be".

Just watched it, had it taped. Once again these clowns talk down the 928. Steven *** saying, absolutely horrible gas mileage and very short lifespan for the model.

Good looking car, but they only showed exterior shots of it.

That is ridiculous. Just shows how little they know about the car. I was watching last evening as 4 enzos didn't make their reserve (and they were all over 400k). No mention of gas mileage. At 13k, plus another 5 for deferred maintenance that new 928 owner can be driving around grinning.
