I guess there was a pocket of sand that found it's way into everything that moves. Greg happens to have another similar engine that he can swap out and hang as many bits from my engine. So the motor comes out, new motor goes in. I think the upside of this is that now we can look at the steering rack, a/c, motor mounts, clutch etc. At the end of the day I will have a good with good mechanicals ie: ( Greg Brown motor)
Now for that coffee table or rather cocktail table.
Van, I am confused. Isn't this the car that you bought on BAT last fall, which you got running and then went sour enroute to LA?

Where did the intake refresh come in?

Yes this is the same car. While I was waiting for the MAF and the LH to come back from Rich
I got into doing a refresh. When I got everything back from Rich, my new intake, fuel rails back from the powder coater, cleaned injectors etc, it ran like a clock ( for a while) Then when driving towards San Diego on HWY 5 the excess blast media got into the motor. This was just before Sharktoberfest. I called Mary to get an appointment and here we are.
Just think of what I would have saved if I had just painted the intake with a rattle can.

Awww man... That sucks. Or blows. Your pick.

I admire your "enthusiasm".
