note that ALL of the GT are 5 speed manual but not all 89 5 speeds are GTs ....confirm that it has the correct GT engine. Even by Porsche standards they are very rare cars

Yep and there is a GT in Montreal for 52k with 120k Km's.

Thanks for the reply everyone. I am researching to buy this year, so does anyone know how many in Canada, and is it that rare? Differences are little with 5 spd manual, 10hp extra, and dual exhaust. Limited slip diff?

6 (or 7) GT's came to Canada in 1991 from a total of 16 (or 17) cars.
BTW, more GTS's came here. 29 cars. 6 manual, 23 auto.
I took these numbers from this thread. Post #11 and #17. Thanks Rob.

Hi Voskian,
Just off topic, you have a beautiful GT ..... are those wheels the Porsche Classic 19" or the 18" from the 996 series? What are the size and ET? How does the car track with the front wheels not being 65mm offset? Researching on upgrading from the 16" D90 to a modern wheel fitment. Thx!

ruf911, yes they are Porsche Carrera III 18" Wheels taken off of a 2006 911 997 Carrera.
Rear: 10" x 18" offset 58
Front: 8" x 18" offset 57
I have 265/35 on the back and 225/40 on the front. No problem tracking .
On of the best looking wheels, I think, which updates the 928 looks..

If you want sports seats (which we are quite fond of) then the numbers get much smaller: 20, 14 and 10 in the states with sports seats for '89, 90, 91, and 8, 6, and 3 in Canada.
The HP difference was spec'ed at +10 for the GT, but many folks think that was understated. The gearbox and engine codes were unique to GT's, the biggest differences being ratios and cams.
Good hunting!

Of the 6 GTs and 6 GTSs with manual transmission it would be interesting to get more detail; colour options etc. or even if they're still alive not fallen to unfortunate circumstance.
