I think the car is attractive and has even more potential.
Change the wheels.
I don't think it needs the side scoops, but did the Testarosa?
Other than those "Makes me want to say Oh my lord"

I'm sure those with the superchargers, trying to hook up their power, would be happy to deal with some questionable looks, in excahange for some decent traction...

Beauty is in the eye beholder, I guess, sometimes it's more like shock value when other people look at my car, with their mouth open (literally). It all depends on what you like.... One guy in a construction pick-up truck stopped next to me at light and said "Man - thats a beautiful car!" While others look and shake their heads, until I put my right foot down, that usually does the trick. (like a guy did in his brand-new BMW 745 - they are actually very quick - but not that quick).
Believe it or not, I really do have a hard time keeping decent traction on the rear end with 335's and a Limited Slip Diff. Have to be very smooth with the throttle to not create smoke

Cars like this are not for everyone. But, personally, I absolutely love my Koenig and I don't worry about what other people think.
It would be interesting to know if this red car's bodywork was really done by Koenig or not, if it was - it would make it extremely rare and potentially valuable.

There are not that many convertible 928s overall.
Most do not look very good, IMHO.
So it is hard to pull it off, no matter what...
I think that *this* renditon of a 928 convertible is better than most.
Not ideal, but pretty nice.
I do remember seeing a burgundy one a while back that looked pretty good...
It's true that you have to have a certain personality and sense of taste, to enjoy more extreme looking cars. If the goal is to be understated, or slick, or smooth, then we would all be driving BMWs, Mercedes, or even a Ford Taurus, or anthing else that is smooth and clean looking... I like my car *because* it looks different. And even within the 928 community, I prefer the cars that look unique, and striking, and interesting, even if they are not the pinacle of perfect styling balance.
I think the 928 has basicly round lines.
So I think body kits should keep that intact.
When you go for the hard angles, it looks a bit odd,
because you are fighting the natural curves of the car.
I think the Jacquemond kits are a good mix of rounded lines.
I think the Koenig stuff, like the Phat928, are clashing with the design.
But I still like them, because they are not the same as all the other 928s out there.
When I see a 928 in a sea of regular cars, it looks great.
When I see a sea of 928s, like in the recent Texas gathering,
they look boring, because they are all the same on the outside...
So someone needs to buy that MC Hammer car, and drop a MURPH bomb under the hood, and have some fun...![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I think that car is cool, even if it is a bit outragious.

If it is a Euro engine in there now, you could take it out, clean it up,
and get one of those CIS supercharger kits for it...
The way that engine looks right now, I would want to get it really cleaned up,
and checked out, before trying to boost it. That might work better than trying
to completely transplant an s4 engine into an 84 car...
For a little bit of an investement, you could have a pretty crazy car...
Although it does need some TLC, to be sure...
That interior could also use some sprucing up.

My reaction is, "Kind of a cool car." Aside from the late 80's/early '90's look and derivative Ferrari side intakes, I think the car has some clean lines, especially those muscular fender flares.

Does anyone have any idea wher this car is now? What about the very similar 928 Koenig convertable that was for sale last year in Arizona?
