Mike,
That does look like a pretty nice car! I'll ask at the breakfast in the am if anybody knows it and post the results.

Neat, another 83 Euro.

This time with a pasha interior!

Nice looking euro, I hate the "selling for a friend" comment. If it checks out and maintenance is up to date the price is good.

I woke up to about 100 text messages last night about this one. I think Chuckles is going to go look at it. He said I need to have it as a loaner car. Haha

Yes "selling for a friend" usually means the title is NOT in this guys name....and he is just flipping it. May even be a dealer curbstoning it..... just be aware that if ANY title issues come up it may be difficult to get the titled owner to help out even if you can figure out how to contact him.
A $16K 1989 S-4 just moved from craigslist to being on E-Bay with a $7,000 bump in price....listed in one day from the purchase, the frenzy continues....

Even though 83 doesn't seem to be a collector year, that car looks to have all the qualities of a collectors car if it is nice. Man, I just love that Pasha type interior. That and a 5 speed. My first love was an 83. 9k seems like a great price. Would fetch more than that on Ebay I believe (If its clean).

What are those four extra little bumps on the rear fascia..?

Almost looks like a set of modern back-up sensors...

Love the red piping. No underhood pics unfortunately...

How many '83 Euro 5-speeds are there in the U.S.? I have one, #1138, Eurotrash in Phila. has one. How many others? They only made 719 of them.

If this is the 300hp motor and Chuck doesn't buy it, I would be interested.

In general, IMO '80 euro S is nicer than the '83.

'80 was the first year of the 300hp CIS motor, and thus arguably the first "performance" 928 model. Plus, by '83 the 928's weren't selling as well, and Porsche produced a lot of lower-spec ones (e.g. with no rear console, and cheaper 911 seats, and no full leather interior).

That car shouldn't have the rear bumperettes either...

Yep. And yet it does still have the rear fog light. Odd combination...

It appears the bumperettes were the only thing federalized on the exterior.

It's nice that none of the domestic side marker lights were added.
