Front windshield wipers not working
Hey!
I've recently gotten my 82 euro s circuit board rebuilt and have been fixing the remaining bugs. I assumed wipers needed a new fuse, but that didn't fix it. Is there a way to check if it's the motor? We tried jumping it by disconnecting the plug under the hood and connected it to a power source ,but not sure if this method would work. I spent a few hours searching for threads on this with no luck. Any advice or links on how to troubleshoot this issue would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance

And I mean the dash behind the wheel. My car has been sitting in the garage as I got my speedometer and other gauges to work. The original had gotten in too bad of condition
A bit late, but this might help. Depends on what your search found.
You can bench test the wiper motor. There are two inputs for power. One is for low speed, the second is for high speed (power goes to both).
You should also test power output from the plug to the motor.
I did this a couple years ago when I replaced the bearing in the motor.

The instrument panel has no effect on the wipers, the combination switch does of course, and you likely removed that to get the pod out. I'd check all the connections are made properly there.
The wipers are very simple: Fuse 6 and the switchgear directly drive the motor via various windings for the different speeds. There is more complexity in the parking circuit - but this doesn't affect basic running - only the correct parking location.
Make sure the fuse is good - replacing it does not do this, testing with a DMM does. further check that with the ignition on there is power to both ends of the fuseholder blades for fuse 6. Ignition power comes in on the bottom fuse connection and leaves to the wiper switch on the top connection. Check the motor connector is secure too.
If you need to test the motor - ground the case/brown wire and apply power to any one of terminals 53, 53b or 53i (different speeds) - ignore terminals 53a and 31b
