17s or 18s...I dont think it would work for our lines.

What do they want for a set??
IMHO the 17's would look cool on the no spoiler early cars and the 18's would look great on the 87+ cars. Do agree with the tire smoke and wide widths, especailly on the rears. T

the cast phone dials were used on some 911s (more common in Europe) and 944s as a lower cost option due to the cost of forged wheels.

Fuchs is a great choice as well for 944. The original black 16s over the original brake calipers are still sought after.
Mixed feelings for 928, more modern carerra III is where I wanna be instead. Just opinion.

Terrible looking. IMHO they don't look right on our 928s.

IMO the jury is still out until we see the new Fikse versions on a 928.

I'm not a fan of the matching color inlay either which isn't helping the visual with the image posted above.

The photo of the wheels on the red car IMO looks awful. That being said these may actually look pretty cool/retro I think these are the ones used on the Singer 911 - but will have to see on a 928.

I didn't see anything on the Fikse site pertaining to widths and offsets. However, it is likely, that they can do 1/2" offset increments in any width thus making 9"s for the front possible.

If I get bored I may pshop some onto my '91.

I don't get the fascination of these rims. GM used to make rims that look a lot like there in the 70's and early 80's. Everytime I see them, it reminds me of those stamps steel GM rims.

Like Mongo's mock up with the silver spokes, the ob with 15's or 16's look horrible.

I think the all black Fuchs in my mock-up picture on page 1 looks good on a red car. Heck it would look good on any 928. The problem lies on the spoke design, not the rim itself. Paint it to stand out, and if it is the wrong size, it will make the 928 look all wrong.

Look up the new Sport Classic 19" wheels for the 997. They are basically a $6,000 set of Fuchs and would actually look good on our cars.

You all do realize that the deep dish wheels being posted would never fit on a 928....the Singer car gets away with it due to turbo flairs with narrow body trailing arms (turbo arms are too hard to find and quite valuable) the 944 is an early version ....
