glass fibre gts pannels?
here is my dilemma. ONE of my rear quarters will be replaced through an insurance claim, do i replace both sides with gts pannels in glassfibre or stick with the original in steel?
the other option would be to pay out lots, lots more and do both sides with steel gts pannels!
replacing the one damaged pannel is most straightforward and cheapest but i think the gts rear quarters look good. with the insurance claim its like im half way there to having two of them! the glass fibre pannels are very affordable weigh less and wont rust, on the other hand the paint finish will deteriorate more quickly and the car will no longer be 'original'.
any opinions?

Nick,
How original do you plan to keep it? Me personally, I love the GTS rear quarters and would defiantly go with them. This would allow for larger tires as well wouldn't it? Either way I think it would look great on the pre-S4 body and I for one would like to see one with this mod. done.

I think I would go with steel. I don't know how long the paint last on fibre compared to steel, but that would seem like the only thing to worry about because I don't think the weight factor would make that big of a difference, unless you were stripping it down for track purposes and it doesn't sound like that is gonna happen anytime soon. LOL
