Default Coolant warning light

Don't you just love fixing one problem and getting another. Replaced the passenger side radiator tank and no leaks. Now the coolant warning light stays on. Thought it was the float switch in the reservoir that turns that light on but is there another probable source since I was not working near it. The sensor on the drivers side tank bottom is hooked up OK but I could check it. Thought it was to turn the front electrical fan on. Should I do an ohms test or just jumper it for a quick check.
Drove the car a couple times enough to get it to normal temp but wondered if there is a need to manually bleed the cooling system for air at some sensor point.
Fuses all good. Reservoir properly filled.

Al least the speedo sending unit I replaced today did the job. Was a weird failure mode. Speedo would work on warm days but not on cold ones. Very cold today so that repair seems to have worked.

Will appreciate any suggestions on the new coolant warning light bug.

Low coolant warning.

Sensor is accessible through the expansion tank.

Tank on driver side is either the power steering or brake fluid reservoir - nothing coolant related.

Hey, I'm just down the road in Encinitas.

Steve,
The sensor in the coolant tank is known for failure. You can first try giving the two wires that feed and receive the sensor a good electrical cleaning first. My sensor failed about a year ago and I simply detached it. This will give you no light, and no sensing. Is a pain to move the reservoir tank to replace the sensor. It is on my schedule to do when I do other lines in the area.

Sorry man, but that's not a proper solution.

No need to apologize.
It wouldn't enter my stream of thought to ever consider it as a solution.

Except for the fact that you did it.

First, and last time, I respond to your usual condescending BS.

Default Got it fixed

Cleaned and greased both the reservoir sensor and the radiator sensor connections and warning light is gone. Lesson in that. Do the most easy thing you can to fix a bug first. I will say learning about the function of problem area is worth the time. Thanks to those who offered help. Cheers, Steve
