Default Idler Part #

Anyone have the OEM part # for the Tensioner Idler Roller?
My 928 is an 80' so I assume it's one those 78'-82' deals

Thanks in advance

If you are looking for this part, I beileve I have an extra one. The one you are looking for was used btw 78-84. 928 Intl sells them for $50. I'm sorry I don't have my parts book handy.

Rez, this doesn't have anything to do with the rollers, but just a heads-up since you are doing the timing belt/tensioner job...the rubber boot for the early tensioners is no longer made, you have to buy one for the later tensioners. The new boots are larger in diameter than the tensioner you have, so you will need to make some sort of spacer to fit snugly. I just left the bottom portion of the old boot in place, put the new boot on and tightened the hose clamp (you need a larger hose clamp too).

Rich.

BerNard94, thanks for the clarification. You just helped me finalize the needed parts for the tens. rebuild.

Richard S, thanks for you insight as well. I had heard that it is no longer being made. Pelican Parts does show a 78-82 boot on their website. I'll see tomorrow if they actually have it. If not looks like a modified 83 boot!
