I need to replace the rubber bit on my lower transmission cooler line, between the radiator and the solid line.
So I am trying to remove the line between the radiator and the connector about 1/2 way down by the torque tube.
Is it possible to do this with the steering rack etc. in place?
Any tips / write-ups will be much appreciated.
I haven't decided between a Greg Brown kit, or taking it to a hydraulic shop so suggestions welcome.
Thanks

I was able to get that line out of my 1990 S4 without dropping the rack down. It likely requires the air pump to be removed (mine was deleted by a PO) and getting the car as high in the air as possible helps. You need the room to be able to turn/maneuver the pipe around obstructions. be sure to plug/bag/cap the pipe ends when you go to re-install to keep debris out of it.
I had all my trans cooling lines refurbed by a local Tubes n Hoses franchise. IIRC it was very reasonable.
