Just to give you a very general sense of the job, here's a shot of the plate that gets bolted down over the hole that you're fixing, you center it over the hole with a different tool. Then you drill out the buggered threads to the bottom of the hole (nerve-wracking....), clean the living snot out of the hole, then tap new threads (couple of rotations at a time, with cutting fluid and much back and forthing to clear out the chips) , then insert the Timesert in the bottom of the hole.
Knowing Greg, the instructions he sends will be compulsively detailed.
Compressed air is your friend for getting the bottom of the (~8"?) holes clean, they must be clean and dry before inserting the timesert. Might want to invest in an extension for your blow gun to get all the chips out.
