Gosh, this is like asking if it's OK to wear the same pair of socks two days in a row. The answer is something like "Yes, but don't tell anyone."

Wipe the grease out with paper towels
Pressure wash
Run through the parts washer
Dry
Knock the old races out
tape the openings
bead blast
Clean the living snot out of it to get rid of the beads
Bake at 300o
Install new ice-cold races.

That way you have $1000 worth of tools in your armamentarium that can be used for the next part to be cleaned..
