Default Removing Glue / Adhesive from Seat Backs

Currently doing a deeper interior refresh and am working to take the old adhesive off the back seats & console (and holy crap does that stuff smell! My entire workroom in my basement smells like the musty interior of my car).

What do y'all use to get that stuff off. I've been using some vegetable oil on a rag, which is working moderately well, but would like to hear if there's something better.

Thanks!

On my car, the glue gave up - barely - after hitting with a heat gun ...

Hi Ryan !

Sounds like you are falling deeper into the rabbit hole ha ha
I used some mineral spirits on a white cloth, so that I could "see" if anything was coming loose,
and it worked pretty well.
Are you going to refresh that horrible and insane piece of carpet around the tool kit? What a job that was !!!

Go to your auto paint store and get some 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner, 08984.

Picked up a can of it tonight....works wonderfully. Applied to an old rag to help control the application, wiped down a few times and boom...glue gone.

Thanks for the tip, Jerry.
