Default Motor mounts

I'm getting ready to tackle the motor mounts, parts on the way from Roger, and I'm not sure where the lift point is in the front of the engine. Is this it? Just behind the hoses. I'm going off Dwayne's procedure and the car he is doing ,the MMs on is an older model. The rear lift point is obvious (I think ) Thank, Doug.

Yes, thats the front-right lift point.

However, for engine mounts, its easier to lift from the front-center one, which is the bracket mounted to the water pump, as it lifts both sides evenly, and can be easily accessed.

Thanks Hilton, I did look at that, but wasn't sure. So if I use that point do I have to lift on the other one also?

Nope, I just lift by that bracket. With the front lifted like that, there's enough clearance to fit new mounts in and bolt the cross member into place correctly.

FWIW I'm not sure what the best recommendation is, but I used a second wooden bar to lift the rear offset lift point as well - IIRC Dwayne did the same. My sense is you have greater security with two lift points, and can better align the engine and reduce the stress on the drivetrain, compared to lifting from the extreme front end only.
