Dave - As to not clutter up the OP's thread with more OT chatter, I direct you to my write-up on Reutterwerk: http://reutterwerk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8804

Cast Coat Aluminum is a brighter silver than Zermatt, IMHO. It's still on there and looking good some 6 years after applying, although the cam covers have developed some blisters/bubbles in the paint. I'd like to eventually get it powder coated for a more permanent solution - hence my clicking on this thread. Here's how the finished product turned out back in 2009:

When I get around to that point I plan on checking out this place on the other side(west) of Lake Norman. http://www.calicocoatings.com/ They have quite a selection and happen to be located right next to http://exclusivemotorwerks.com/ which is exclusively Porsche and were nice enough to include the 928 in their repertoire even though they look primarily to be 911ish.

I would call exclusive and see if they have used calicocoatings on their customer projects.

Anyone around here have any experience with these 2 companies that are local to Charlotte (North)? Could be worth a call just to check out prices and options.
