Some advise.
I found an 86 S red/black auto 50,000 miles, no keys. No body damage. Hasnt run in several years. The asking is $2000. Is it worth it?

What's your intention with it ? Rehab it/ DIY, drive it or fix it up to sell ?
Pictures necessary.

Post the VIN and we can tell you more about it. Oh, and pictures. This online, virtual assessment of a car from 5500 miles away is worthless without pictures.

weird, looks like a US spec car under the hood with that organ pipe intake. I thought that configuration only sold in the US?

It also looks to be an automatic and you'd want to check the thrust bearing play. I'd have someone knowledgeable about 928's look at a minimum. Better yet have a PPI done.

Could be the low-compression .45/46, but I thought that was only sold in Australia because of their poor fuel quality.

All Japanise '85-86 were M28.44 and automatic gearbox. So they have same engine as US model. Not low CR ROW 32V engine.

I know of two that recently sold: one for $20k an auto w/ 36k and a manual w/ 24k for 30k US.
The auto had all maintenance up to date, the manual did not IIRC
