Question OT- 911 Alarm Bypass

I posted this on the 911 board....but it appears that it gets less traffic or at least the people who frequent there don't know how to help-

A friend at my new company has an R.O.W '85 911 Carrera with a bit of a problem. It won't start, and when he opens the door...the alarm goes off.

I washed my car in the vehicle garage the other day, and one of the head mechanics came up to me and asked me if I could give him some advice on the Carrera. I walked over there, and they openned the hood. They had a black box with blue lettering pulled down from under the cowl, and had cut/spliced/attached alligator clips to various wires in an attempt to bypass the alarm.

PLEASE help me save this poor car! Does anyone know how to bypass the alarm on one of these?

Normy!

Drive it off a cliff and buy a 928 with the insurance proceeds. Then look for the alarm module behind the glove box.

:-)
