Will confirm with Gretchen in the morning - but it sounds like we made it.

Carl, can i make a suggestion? It definitely seems there is a market for parts without a logo.
I think its the fact the bar is right on top of everything, and the inscription stands out to much. Most would rather people notice the intake, and valve covers, but with the bright letters over the logo on the cross brace it stands out.
My suggestion would be to put a smaller inscription on one side or the other. Maybe the size of a business card. This way it still has your name on it, but it doesn't take away from the engine bay looks. Since you have several already in stock though it may be a while before you do another production run.

Thanks jwyatt; I thought of that too. My idea was a small logo on one of the two mounting brackets on the end...

But: here I have promised no engraving and there will be no engraving.

FYI: just had a customer return our folding tow hook because it was NOT engraved. He wanted one that says "928 Motorsports" on it and we don't make that any more, they are un-engraved now. Oh well, cant win for losing sometimes...

In fairness, everyone knows a tow hook is the kind of thing that should be engraved! Because of ... Why?

UPDATE ON UNENGRAVED CROSS-BRACES

We have hit our magic "10" pre-order level. So the un-engraved bar can be a reality as discussed.
Gretchen is now trying to contact each of the buyers to take their deposit so we can proceed.

If you are one of the ones who have called in or emailed in your reservation to Gretchen, call or email her now to make payment so we can keep this rolling forward.

Thank you!

Because no one looks?

I've had probably 300 guys come and lean over my engine when I'm at the track. (and 4 women) It's an unusual car at those events and has a very cool looking engine bay.

Idea: engrave on the side. Logo guys can face it forwards and subtle guys can face it rearwards.

Can't wait! Mine is bent and is indenting my newly installed hood insulation...

How have people been attaching the part that currently straps to the cross brace above the front lifting eye? Any suggestions on that?

I haven't installed mine yet...the suggestion I got was to just zip tie it to something else.

UNEEKONE: That is a small vacuum switch that increases the idle by 200 rpm when the AC is on.

They did this to : provide better air conditioning at idle, and increase alternator output at idle with the AC on.

You can:
1) remove it from the cross brace and zip-tie it to something else so it doesn't flop around,
or
2) disconnect it, plug the vacuum bib, and remove it from the car.

If I had a 928 that struggles to charge at idle, I'd leave it on the car and just tie it down. Turn on the AC to increase the idle speed (and alternator output) by 200 rpm...
