Thank you for all the suggestions. Belt tension light came on the other day for a bit, so my next free weekend I will be checking into that (probably electrical since i just installed the belt and fittings new last year)and check into some of the simpler solutions for the quit running issue.
I can't wait to try jiggling the key cause that sounds easy.
I will keep you all posted when I have time to look into it - though it will be hard to tell if the problem is solved.

It may also be a problem with the idle control system.... sticking ISV/ closed throttle switch etc.
