I trashed him? I paid for a item that was received with cracks (which could have been the result of lousy packaging or just creative angles in the listing pictures),
He got positive feedback from me and offered to refund me if I sent it back,
he then claimed that I switched A 35 DOLLAR ITEM that I paid 6 bucks to return,
He goes to Ebay for help in scamming me for A 35 DOLLAR ITEM,
And I trashed him?
If nothing else, its the principal of the matter and in commerce, the customer is who drives the vendors living.
Notwithstanding I am the sole supporter of my wife who is still not fully recovered from brain surgery, so yes, every dollar is sacred.

Oh, and my warning to the other members/users was intended to avoid similar occurrences. Maybe I shouldn't have divulged anything in a effort to help those that have helped me?

I have to wonder how the fact that the OP appears to have been screwed in the first place by this seller make his reporting that to us in this Forum become an over reaction? The facts that seem to have been suggested are that the seller falsely presented an item for sale, or shipped one that did not match the description, then the buyer sent it back and was accused of switching the item, then the seller claims that he somehow micro engraved the item so that he could identify it in this kind of situation, then the seller made a claim of some sort with eBay, and finally eBay didn't believe the seller and eBay paid the buyer back his money.

I see plenty in that scenario to be concerned about in the event I might find an opportunity to deal with this same seller on eBay. For one, what gives the seller the right to be engraving anything on something that he has sold to me? That is of course, rhetorical, unless you happen to actually believe anything about the supposed micro engraving.

My thanks to the OP for posting this thread. I don't think it makes any difference whether it involved $35 or 35 cents.
