car cover with VIN on the side
Hello all:
When I purchased my 928 I also received two car covers from the PO. The heavier fitted one I use all the time. There was also a light one that was in a cover bag that I never opened. When on a recent road trip I took it with me since it saved space. When I opend the bag to put the cover on I noticed that on each side it had the VIN number written. I found this strange and wonder if anyone has any ideas. I assume it was either a dealer or Porsche so that he could find the cars when they were all covered for shipment. Did they ship the 928 with a cover. This is an OB from 1978 so things probably changed over the years but I a curious if anyone has seen this before.
