Brought to you by the same magazine that predicted in 1965 we would all be commuting to work in nuclear powered ramjet gyrocopters.

Actually, the article is the Road and Track article complete with the same poor proofreading.

Yes and I doubt the accuracy of the "skyrocketing value" claims for the 928 generally. I mean, granted the pristine GTS examples have skyrocketed toward six figures. But for the rest of us humble owners of humble 928s, we're not benefiting from 911-mania quite yet.

Yeah, same group that glorified on their cover the pair of ****** that cut the body off one and taped it on backwards.

All this talk about value just makes it worse, the cars that are valuable today are the ones that were forgotten about in the past.

Can't put a value on the feeling i get while driving it! Theses cars are special, A good friend & I were talking the other day while doing the LED Pod upgrade and I mentioned to him what my 11 year old son said when he saw the car for the first time, keep in mind this is a kid that has grown up in the era of PS4 and XBox and has played countless racing games with the newest super cars with names that I can't even pronounce correctly.

New Shark sitting in the garage and he sees it as he walks out………..
Me: what do you think of the new car?
11 year old: with tears in his eyes, "dad that is the car I have always wanted, its not fair, does Mikie (his older brother)get to drive it?"
Me: very confused," really son, yes Mikie gets to drive it and do you even know what car this is?"
11 year old:" no, but look at it, its low, its red, its fast, i mean just look at it"
Me: huge grin,"I know son, I had a poster of this car on my wall when I was your age"

I say all that to illustrate, even an 11 year old boy that has grown up with nothing but the latest and greatest super cars in his face since he could walk can look at this nearly 30 year old car and be blow away!!!! I LUV THAT

I remember about 2 weeks after I bought my car it was a beautiful cool day outside and I took my car out of the garage and detailed it in the driveway.

For the next 2 hrs around 50 kids drove their bikes by and walked by. I remember one of the kids smiling and saying real slowly “POR-SHA”with a big smile on his face.

My next door neighbor has been here for many years and said he has NEVER seen a crowd of kids like that come around.

EVERY time I take the car to the gas station I wind up having to do a dog and pony show.

I am polite to everyone since these cars are so rare that it is the only one most have ever seen in real life. I know how I act will reflect on other 928 owners and Porsche owners in general so I am mindful of that. I remember myself how intimidating it is to approach an owner of a special car.

Both years I have had my inspection done, the inspector has shakily asked if he could take pics of the car.

This last weekend the inspector said the last time he saw one was 10 yrs ago and these are guys that see all kinds of cars come in for inspection...

These cars are rare and special folks…
