Not a pass, according to them with the new machine it isn't only a visual anymore it has to pass via the machine.

But yea, i think they dont have the equipment to test it. Prob only USA/Japanese car types.

No..you mis read me..the 928 cap is an automatic pass for that test, because there is no HW to test it.

They check for a seal visually, if at all, and "pass it".

What he said, ^^^^^^. The gas cap for the 928 is unique, nobody makes an adapter so they can't test and its a PASS.

STAR stations can be fussy, ONE mistake and lose their license, so I've heard of them refusing to test.

Anybody not too far from 55/22 in north eastern Orange county, A&D on Chapman down the street from me knows the 928 and is a STAR station.

*sigh* time to search for a better smog station then, OC people gots it good with so much 928 stuff there =P

Too bad I cant do my smog during Sharktoberfest being my smog due date is 9/28
