Mikey:

Nice looking ride (the links don't work as posted, but I figured out how to see the pictures anyway).

Differences that I can see:
1. No Porsche emblem on the dashboard.
2. Auto tranny (Dennis is 5 speed)
3. No cargo net
4. No Weissach luggage

Looks very clean....great condition!

Any chance you'll get some pictures of the underside?

Michael,
Glad to see you finely got the pictures up. Car looks good, but your still missing the luggage and dash plaque. I can'nt help with the luggage but may be the dash placqe. Like you I don't know much about posting pics so I will e-mail you a pic of dash and a pencil taceing of same should be actual size on trace. Its made of brass. Will also email same to other weissach owners.

Dave, I've offered my firstborn for a set of luggage..to no avail..lol.Have actually contacted the person who bought it new.He did get it but he said he thought he had given it to his grandchildren years ago.I have the cargo net just don't have it in the car...along with the backglass pull down cover but it is in shambles. The fabric is fragile and I'm trying to find a match for it.I'm not sure why this Weissach didn't have the dash plaque...but do have a letter from Porsche stating authenticity of it being a Weissach. Thanks Dennis for the info on the plaque.I'll post some pics of the underside if I get it up on a rack anytime soon.It hasn't been on one since I've owned it.

Thumbs up

Mikey, Dennis,
There's a Goldie on Ebay right now... dime a dozen you might say...
However, if you look at the flicks closely there is a set of - drum roll, hold your breath - (sorry Dennis) MINT looking Porsche luggage, it is under a (sorry Mikey) MINT looking cargo cover. Could be deceiving myself but it looks like leather.
Word has it that the bottom of the car is a brushed finish, nickle plate, is also accompanied/maintained by Hans und Franz registered Porsche mechanics with a yen for Italian wines. They take a lot of holiday's so plan your maintenance accordingly.
In other news:
The Weissach Community was saddened by the tragic demise of Pattycakes spoiler which damn near left us after being introduced to a concrete cow pie ... Sigh...

John,
Thats not the weissach luggage under that cover. The zipper on the suit bag runs arond the outside and is the same two tone as the seats!

Nice looking car.

Hope you kept yourself and your car safe as the hurricane passed.

You should post your pictures in the Rennlist Gallery. Here's my gold '79.

Dennis,

Perhaps the owner is trolling....
Do you have a similar cargo cover?
If so, is it leather or ... ?
Did you post that dashbadge yet? Inquiring minds and all that.

Thanks James...all is well here.I live just outside of Fayetteville and we missed the brunt of it.We did get some high winds but nothing over 50mph.I was out in Fran with our fire dept. and was quite glad to see it miss us.Needless to say the Weissach stayed in the garage under it's cover sleeping soundlessly!

John, I have a cover also but is dire need or restoring. It's fabric..not leather.Have searched high and low to find the right color/type but have had no luck yet.I'll post a pic of it later if you have never seen one.
